Built between 2009 and 2010 by the "Fundación Nao Victoria", the Galeón Andalucía
is a faithful
replica of the Spanish galleons that connected Europe, America and Asia
for over three centuries, becoming key players in the first era of globalisation.
Designed as a travelling ambassador of Spanish maritime culture, the galleon
combines
tradition and modernity, offering more than 320 m² of visitor areas spread
across six decks.
Since her launch, the Galeón Andalucía has undertaken numerous international
tours, taking part in major cultural and maritime events and sailing tens of thousands
of
nautical miles.
Among her most significant milestones are her participation in Expo Shanghai 2010
and her
extended tours in the United States, during which she welcomed hundreds of thousands
of visitors, consolidating her role as a travelling cultural ambassador.
In the following years, she has continued to play a leading role in maritime festivals and major international events,
helping to promote maritime history and strengthen
connections between
maritime heritage and contemporary audiences.
Today, the Galeón Andalucía stands as a living symbol of Spanish nautical tradition,
combining historical significance, educational value and strong appeal to the public.
